Hydra Advisory is an advisory firm headquartered in Milan, specialised in the premium and luxury sector. We provide our clients extensive industry knowledge and business capabilities in the areas of brand strategy, business development and investment advisory — amplified by a global network of high-value stakeholders.

Our mission is to provide valuable expertise by outlining compelling strategies and untapping business opportunities. Our team is composed of former corporate executives with combined decades of international senior experience in the premium and luxury sector.

Listen

Every engagement begins with the principals. We spend the first phase of the mandate understanding the client's ambition, the competitive context in which it operates, and the commercial, organisational and capital constraints that frame the decision to be made — whether the client is a brand, a group, a retailer, an investor or an institutional counterparty.

Diagnose

We then build the evidence base. Primary research across distribution, consumer and management sources is combined with competitive benchmarking, transaction comparables and Hydra Advisory's proprietary luxury indicators to produce a rigorous, unambiguous read of the situation and the options available.

Design

The recommendation is developed iteratively with the client. It is tested against the commercial realities of the luxury sector, the expectations of capital, and the operational capacity of the organisation — and endorsed at principal or investment-committee level before execution begins.

We remain engaged through execution. Depending on the mandate, this extends into partner introductions, transaction management, counterparty negotiation, operational support and senior recruitment — whatever is required to bring the recommendation to outcome.

A shortlist of potential investors was developed and proposed to the principals; the transaction closed within four months, securing the capital required to fund the next phase of expansion while the founding family retained majority ownership.
